Matthew Criscuolo
Matt “Crisco” Criscuolo started his musical journey at the age of 14, under the guidance of legendary jazz musicians Bob Gullotti and Matt Wilson. Since enrolling at the University of Massachusetts in 2010, he has honed his skills and passion for music, studying Jazz & African American music under Thomas Giampietro. Matt has had the pleasure of learning and working from jazz greats such as Junior Mance, Charlie Persip, Winard Harper, Steve Davis, and Felipe Salles. In 2018, he embarked on a new chapter teaching at a school in Holyoke, where he crafted a comprehensive curriculum that caters to students of all skill levels.
Over the past decade, Matt has been a part of a nationally touring band, performing across the United States and parts of Europe. He has had the privilege of sharing the stage with renowned musicians and bands like Red Baraat, Rubblebucket, Suitcase Junket, Andy Frasco and the U.N. and Too Many Zooz, to name a few. Matt’s commitment to his students is unwavering, and he works closely with them to help them achieve their musical goals and discover a genuine passion for music.
