Bruce Palmer

Bruce is a lifelong percussionist, performer, and composer. His eclectic taste and style are derived from an early start in his own private lesson journey, classical training through college and magnetic attraction to blisteringly heavy riffs and vocals that nearly no one can understand. Weaving his musical path through years of orchestral classics, winter and spring breaks spent making marks in percussion ensemble and marching band, and annoying his neighbors to no end in scrappy metal bands, he eventually landed a spot studying music at UMass Lowell. Studying under greats such as the Boston Ballet's Jeff Fischer and the late Fred Buda, he graduated with a bachelors in Music Business in 2018.

His teaching journey began somewhere between his studies, developing an independent student base that he taught (probably against school policy) out of his practice room at school, and eventually taking his practice above ground to his home studios. He's continued teaching over the years independently and through a highly regarded drum and music studio. Bruce's lesson instruction incorporates elements of his mindfulness and meditation training, encouraging students to connect with their senses and breath, and helping to achieve a sense of focus and calm throughout the lesson and into the world.
