With performance experience spanning opera, musical theater, and cabaret, singer Carol Wrobleski appeared for numerous seasons with the New York City Opera Chorus, in multiple tours with Opera Northeast, performed in a cabaret revue at Eighty-Eights in NYC, and in summer stock. Concert solo appearances include Musica Historia’s Shakespeare’s Words and Music and the Great Barrington Choral Society’s Duruflé Requiem. Other recent appearances include Panopera’s production of Il barbiere di Siviglia (or The Barber of Seville, your choice!) (Berta), concerts at the Springfield Library Rotunda Rhythms series, the cabaret revue Loving Women at the Northampton Center for the Arts and the Duplex in NYC, the world premieres of the operas The Scarlet Professor and Truth (Mary Brown), and Gian Carlo Menotti’s Ahmal and the Night Visitors (Mother) for Springfield Congregational Church, where she is a soloist and choir member. She studied Vocal Performance at Boston Conservatory of Music and Boston University. Her most recent voice teacher was the groundbreaking teacher and voice therapist, Oren Brown. She has served as music director for the Academy of Music’s Youth Productions Spring Musicals where she coached multiple young singers with their solos and staging, and is trained in the Music Together curriculum. Carol loves singing in multiple languages and can offer repertoire and diction coaching in Italian, German, French, and Spanish.
