Chris Arnone
Chris Arnone is a seasoned guitarist and dedicated educator with over two decades of experience in the music world. He holds dual degrees in music and ecology from Western Connecticut State University, showcasing his diverse interests and connected approach to both art and science. Chris is currently pursuing a master’s in jazz performance from UMass Amherst.
Chris’s musicianship encompasses performing, composing, recording, and improvising across a range of styles. He has shared the stage with luminaries such as Tina Weymouth and Chris Franz of Talking Heads, jazz saxophonist Kenny Garrett, and bassist Danton Boller of the Roy Hargrove Quintet. His musical foundation was further refined through mentorship with respected New York and Connecticut-based musicians Chris Morrison, Jimmy Greene, and Jack Wilkins, who each helped shape his distinctive voice on the guitar.
As an educator, Chris uses his wealth of knowledge and experience while emphasizing compassion and empathy to provide a safe and inspiring learning environment. He believes that all musical endeavors are informed by connection with others and uses music as a means of understanding and expressing. Chris focuses on identifying with each unique student to help them grow as musicians and individuals.
