Greta Muellner
Greta Muellner specializes in working with beginners and younger children. She has six years of experience as a camp counselor at Sugar Hill Art Center in Chesterfield, MA. At the camp she worked with kids ranging ages 4 to 12. She ran sing alongs, taught music, directed short films, led hikes, and taught arts and crafts. Greta is very passionate about introducing kids to music in a fun and exciting way, so that whether they find a lifelong passion or simply learn the “peanuts theme” from Charlie Brown for a fun little party trick in the future, they have a good experience and a newfound appreciation for their instrument.
Greta is a musician currently in her junior year at the University of Massachusetts. She grew up playing woodwind instruments in her school bands. She has experience across a variety of genres as she played clarinet in klezmer and Celtic band as well as alto saxophone in Jazz ensemble. Greta attended the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts High School where she had a focus on music and theater. She has always loved singing and writing which turned into a passion for songwriting in high school. To accompany herself in her songs Greta began guitar and piano then as well. With her songwriting Greta leans more into indie pop, folk and show tunes. She is active on tiktok where she still posts her songs and skits.
While Greta grew up in Western Mass, since she graduated high school her travels during University have taken her far in her artistic studies. She spent her freshman year in Berlin, Germany where she further developed her songwriting, piano & guitar skills, and studied German theater. The spring of her sophomore year she spent in Auckland, New Zealand where she worked on songwriting and music production. Everywhere that Greta travels she brings her travel size guitar and her tin whistle so she can play and learn from people she meets around the world!
