Madeleine Guillaumot
Madeleine Guillaumot is a masters student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst studying Cello Performance under the tutelage of Edward Arron. She has a B.S. in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science as well as a B.A. in Music from the University of Arizona. Madeleine enjoys competing and placed first in the 2023 Solo Bach Competition and was a finalist in the 2022/23 and 2023/24 Cello Congress Solo Competitions. She has played in masterclasses for renown pedagogues such as Johannes Moser, Hans Jensen, and Anthony Elliot. Madeleine has a private studio of students and has enjoyed teaching through programs such as Tucson Youth Music Center and String Project. She loves to inspire students to believe in their abilities through understanding how the brain learns and how to practice effectively. In her free time Madeleine loves to connect with her Oregon roots through hiking, rock climbing, and spending time outdoors.
